Movie Mavericks Team:

I am part of the Movie Mavericks team in Stoke-On-Trent as the event planner and social media marketer. I have been in this role since winter 2019. This role entails creating small film events and workshops for all ages throughout Staffordshire.

Social media marketing has meant I have been in charge of keeping our social media page up to date and creating an uplift on followers and engagement from the public, I have been doing this through posts, videos, photography and other forms of media.

Our upcoming event is a Utopia themed international film festival which is going to be held in the Potteries Museum. Where we will be awarding the best film with a cash prize. This is a full night of Utopia themed films, with food and planet themed cocktails. Entertainment ranging from spoken word, circus acts, art and stalls will be going on through the evening too.

Blogger!

I have begun my journey in blogging recently this year (2020). The aim of my blog is to take you into my crazy and bizarre thoughts on the world now, past events or stuff I would love to see in the future. This is all light-hearted and easy to read blogs with roughly 500 words each. Enough to keep you entertained while you're on the bus or waiting for your take way to arrive.

I'm no English creative writing master actually the complete opposite with having dyslexia this is a very tough process however, I love the challenge and the adapting myself to new ways of writing.

Event planning

I have created charity events for MIND Manchester, Erskine Scottish Veterans, The SMA Association and very recently the Australian Bush fires. This has included entertainment ranging from a DJ, raffle, tuck shop, cake sale and baking competitions. I have been planning and creating these events for last 4 years with a rough estimate of £2,000 within this time has been raised through these events.
